Professional Experience
Work History & Technical Roles
Software Engineer
Igea | Brezovica pri Ljubljani, Slovenia
- Automation & ETL: Architected Python scripts for automated data extraction and manipulation, streamlining visualization workflows and reducing manual data handling.
- Full-Stack Development: Engineered enterprise-level web applications using Oracle APEX, ensuring seamless integration between complex database structures and user interfaces.
- Data Visualization: Collaborated with cross-functional teams to design and implement interactive business intelligence dashboards and real-time data visualizations.
- Database Optimization: Optimized complex Oracle SQL queries and procedures, significantly improving application responsiveness and system efficiency.
- UI/UX Design Lead: Led the design and modernization of 5+ production-ready web applications, focusing on intuitive user journeys and minimalistic, functional interfaces.
Graduate Researcher & Senior developer
Laboratory of Telecommunications | University of Ljubljana
- Network Infrastructure Analysis: As a senior developer of the project, I am helping with leading a comparative study on electronic communication technologies (Fiber, LEO Satellites, 5G) to evaluate connectivity solutions for rural and underserved areas.
- Blockchain & Robotics (Thesis Research): Engineered a decentralized system for node authentication in shared manufacturing using Solidity smart contracts, integrating them with Python. Originally developed as my Bachelor's Thesis, the project was subsequently expanded into ongoing laboratory research focused on trustless ROS (Robot Operating System) interactions.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Evaluated application performance for "The Public Link" project, translating complex data analysis into published technical articles.
High School Teacher
Gimnazija in srednja šola Kočevje | Kočevje, Slovenia
- Technical Instruction: Delivered weekly lectures on three courses: Database Basics, Multimedia Systems, and Introduction to MS Word.
- Curriculum Delivery: Adapted complex technical concepts for a high school audience, guiding students through practical exercises in data modeling and digital content creation.
LLM & Generative AI Lecturer
Napreduj.si | Ljubljana, Slovenia
- AI Literacy Training: Taught hands-on workshops for small groups of professionals, breaking down how Large Language Models and Generative AI actually work.
- Tool Optimization: Instructed on the advanced practical application of multi-modal AI tools, including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude for text, and DALL-E, Adobe Firefly, and Midjourney for visual content.
- Prompt Engineering: Developed and taught specialized modules on prompt engineering techniques, helping participants move from basic queries to complex, high-output instructions.
- Workflow Integration: Guided organizations on integrating AI assistants into daily business processes to enhance productivity, creative output, and data analysis.
Professional Engagement
AiSEK
Attended AiSEK, Slovenia's conference at the intersection of AI and security. The standout talk was Zoja Anžur's presentation on behavioral AI in cybersecurity—specifically how machine learning can detect drops in employee engagement and correlate them with increased susceptibility to security incidents. The insight that human behavioral patterns, not just technical vulnerabilities, are a measurable attack surface stuck with me as a genuinely novel framing of insider risk.
Podim
Attended Podim, one of Southeast Europe's leading startup and investment conferences held in Maribor. The event brings together founders, VCs, and corporate innovators and has a strong regional flavor while pulling in an international crowd. What I found most valuable was observing how early-stage founders pitch and defend their ideas under pressure—it's a useful lens for thinking about how to communicate the value of technical work to non-technical stakeholders.
WindEurope
Attended WindEurope in Madrid, the continent's largest wind energy conference and exhibition, bringing together turbine manufacturers, grid operators, developers, and policymakers. The discussions around offshore wind scaling and the grid integration challenges that come with it were particularly relevant to my work—it gave me a much clearer picture of where the industry's technical bottlenecks actually lie, beyond what you get from reading reports.
Povio Academy Conference
Attended the Povio Academy Conference to see how far AI app development has actually come. The '30-minute app build' session was a highlight—it really showed that while AI is fast, you still need a solid coding foundation to catch the mistakes it inevitably makes. I also picked up a few practical AI design tools that I've already started using at work to speed up my UI design process.
Povio Academy Conference
My first big tech conference, where I spent a lot of time connecting with different companies at their stands to see how they actually work. I surprisingly enjoyed the talk on app design complexity, even though it wasn't my main focus at the time. However, as someone who was teaching databases in high school then, I found the final database session quite messy—it rushed from total basics to advanced topics so fast that the goal of the talk got lost. It was a great lesson in how not to present complex info.
Multimedia Merch Design Project Lead
Led the inaugural multimedia merchandise design project for the Multimedia programme at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, creating branded products that celebrate the program's identity.
Member of the Student Council
Active representative at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UL. Contributed to the faculty's digital presence through social media management and assisted in the organization of academic and social events for the student body.
